About CYC
Formed in 2005, the Conspirare Youth Choirs are committed to bringing exceptional musical experiences to both the singers and audience. We believe that children can achieve excellence when excellence is modeled for them.
The CYC is committed to:
- teaching the highest quality choral literature and vocal technique
- the development of the young musician through sight-singing and music theory instruction
- presenting inspiring performances
- creating an environment where the children of Austin can grow together in their love of music and singing
- molding a group of singers that represent the diversity and beauty of our city
Registration Fees
The Youth Choirs are auditioned choirs for boys and girls ages 9-16 who love to sing. A musical background is preferred, but not required. Tuition for the year is $750, payable in 3 installments throughout the season. Tuition scholarship assistance is awarded based on financial need.

2005-2006
- Outstanding holiday and spring concerts
- Lance Armstrong Foundation event
- Ballet Austin, Conspirare Symphonic Choir, and the Austin Symphony in, Carmina Burana
- The inaugural season culminated in being named Outstanding Debut Organization of 2006 by the Austin Critics Table.
2006-2007
- Outstanding holiday and spring concerts
- Art-film collaboration with Arthouse Gallery with renowned artist,
Daniel Boshkov - Private memorial ceremony for Ann Richards, and receiving a personal acknowledgement from former president Bill Clinton
- First Night Austin downtown performances on New Year's Eve
- The NEA-funded American Masterpieces Choral Festival, hosted by Conspirare
- Workshop with internationally-renowned Henry Leck, Director of the Indianapolis Youth Choir
- Gala Event opening the new Dell Children's Hospital
- Collaborative performance with the Children's Chorus of Greater Dallas
- Performance tour of Washington, D.C.
2007-2008
- Outstanding holiday and spring concerts
- Gala Event celebrating the Austin Children's Shelter
- CYC Night at the Nutcracker and Kick-off Lock-in
- Professional Development workshop and clinic for Austin ISD music educators
- Choral Retreat with Marguerite McCormick, director of the Children's Chorus of San Antonio
