Host Conspirare Artists
You can support the arts by hosting musicians traveling to Austin to perform in Conspirare concerts. We depend on music lovers who can provide appropriate accommodations.
DeeAnne Paulson (center) with Sean Taylor, Drayton Eggleson, Anna Christofaro, and Lara Alami, artists she’s hosted in her home.
DeeAnne Paulson and her husband, in their 70s, are longtime empty nesters. A retired music teacher, DeeAnne enjoys supporting Conspirare by welcoming our musicians into their home. “So far we’ve had 11 different singers and one composer stay with us,” she says. “They are always warm, friendly, and just plain fun!”
Each season, Conspirare artists come together in Austin, Conspirare’s home base, for a week or more to rehearse, perform, and record. Conspirare depends on music lovers who can provide appropriate accommodations for our traveling artists. While hosts gain friendships, artists enjoy a home environment during their stay.
What makes an ideal Artist Host?
- Hosts can accommodate two artists, each with a private bedroom.
- Hosts commit to hosting twice per season if possible.
- Pets are not allowed in guest rooms.
- Hosts live within 10 miles of central Austin.
With three spare bedrooms and two bathrooms, DeeAnne’s home is perfect for hosting two artists who use the third room as an office. “Being a host has drawn us closer to Conspirare,” DeeAnne says. “And we always receive more from these talented artists than we give!”
